ОГЭ/ЕГЭ с Натальей Володиной
  1. 💜 Behind the Scenes of a Teacher’s Life: When Things Don’t Go as Planned Last night, I went to bed at 3:30 a.m. Not because I was binge-watching Netflix, but because I was putting the finishing touches on a presentation for my methodological course on preparing students for the EGE. And guess what happened? I didn’t save the final version! 🤦‍♀️ Today, I delivered a webinar that lasted more than THREE hours! I’d spent hours editing slides, rearranging information, adding explanations, and making sure everything reflected exactly what I wanted to share with my fellow teachers. But somehow, all those changes disappeared. So there I was, delivering a webinar with what was essentially a rough draft of my presentation. 😂 Some slides didn’t match what I was saying. Some important information was missing. And the final part of the presentation had vanished completely. But here’s the surprising part: despite everything, the webinar went incredibly well! 💜 The teachers were listening attentively, staying engaged, and genuinely interested in what I was sharing. And I was doing what I love most: explaining complex things in a way that makes sense, sharing practical ideas, drawing on my experience, and helping other teachers see familiar challenges from a different perspective. We discussed important aspects of preparing students for the EGE, explored practical teaching strategies, and talked about things that really matter in our everyday teaching practice. And somewhere in the middle of all this, I realised something. My presentation might not have been ready, but I was. I knew exactly what I wanted to tell my colleagues. I knew why these ideas mattered. I had the knowledge, the experience, and plenty of practical examples to support everything I was saying. The slides were supposed to help me communicate my ideas. But they weren’t the ideas themselves. And judging by the teachers’ reactions, their attention, and the wonderful feedback I received, those ideas reached their audience. The webinar wasn’t just successful despite the technical problems. It was genuinely valuable, meaningful, and useful for the teachers who attended. And that made me think. We teachers spend so much time preparing beautiful presentations, designing activities, choosing visuals, and trying to make everything perfect. Of course, all these things matter. Good materials can make learning clearer, more engaging, and more effective. But sometimes we forget that the most important teaching resource in the room is the teacher. Not the slides. Not the animations. Not the perfectly designed worksheets. But the person who knows how to explain, inspire, connect ideas, answer unexpected questions, and turn information into understanding. A great presentation can support a great teacher. But it can never replace one. Of course, I was disappointed that the final part of my presentation was missing. I couldn’t finish everything I’d planned, so I promised to record an additional video to cover the remaining material. But looking back, I don’t think of today’s webinar as a failure or even as a teaching disaster. Quite the opposite. It reminded me that professionalism isn’t about having everything perfectly prepared. It’s about being able to deliver real value even when things don’t go according to plan. After the webinar, we went to celebrate my father-in-law’s anniversary. 🎂 And now, almost midnight, I’m back at my laptop. Because EMPOWER TEACHERS 9.0 starts on October 16! 💜 There are banners to design, posts to write, speakers to introduce, and two channels — Telegram and MAX — to prepare. Sometimes I wonder how many different roles one teacher can possibly juggle. Teacher. Methodologist. Course creator. Designer. Copywriter. Conference organiser. Social media manager. Oh, and somewhere in between, I’m also a wife and a mum of three. ❤️
