  1. Band 8 (высокий уровень: точность, сложные конструкции, продвинутая лексика) The diagram depicts a prospective domestic energy production system that harnesses the decomposition of organic matter to generate electricity, thereby reducing reliance on external power sources. Overall, the process comprises two interconnected phases: the anaerobic digestion of compost to yield methane gas, and the subsequent transformation of this gas into electrical energy via mechanical conversion. The ultimate objective of the system is to enable households to become self-sufficient in their energy needs. To begin with, a steel tank is loaded to approximately 75% of its volume with a blend of compost—comprising leaves, food scraps, and similar organic residues—along with water. As fermentation proceeds within the tank, methane gas is produced and channelled into a storage vessel. Following this, the gas undergoes compression in a dedicated unit, which prepares it for energy conversion by increasing its pressure and density. In the subsequent stage, the compressed methane gas is fed into a combustion engine, where it is burned to produce mechanical energy. This mechanical energy drives a generator, which in turn produces electrical energy. The electricity generated is then bifurcated: a portion is distributed directly to the household for immediate use, while the remaining amount is stored in a battery system for later consumption, ensuring a continuous and reliable energy supply.
